LED strips in projects. We are revealing the technological secret.

Which parameters of LED lighting prove its high quality? What is the relevance of light color in design? Today, let's take a closer look at the technological aspects of LED lighting.
The extended color rendering index CRI R9 for LED lighting fixtures is extremely important in the design of interior architecture, for industry, healthcare, food stores etc. Why? Well, the CRI value can range from zero to one hundred. CRI = 100 means the color representation corresponding to daylight. Low values completely distort colors.

Achieving high efficiency (brightness) with good color rendering (CRI) in a single LED strip is unique and very close to perfection. The reason is that the correlation of these two properties is always based on a compromise. For the human eye, yellow-green colors are brighter than red, which can be explained by the fact that they have a higher light output in the human perception of brightness. In other words: They have greater luminance. From a pragmatic point of view, it is worth consciously choosing the characteristics of lighting for its purpose. For example, when designing LED outdoor lighting, in most cases efficiency (brightness) is much more important than high CRI. Technology, however, is moving forward and research laboratories seem to be pushing the boundaries of physics further and further.

KLUŚ uses CRI 95+ / R9 LED strips with the highest luminous efficacy and an extended CRI index for red light, while maintaining very high luminous efficiency - brightness (up to 130 lumens / watt). In addition, KLUŚ provides a 7-year warranty.

In simple terms, „R9” is a value that shows how accurately a light source will render strong red colors. It should be remembered that the emission of red by LED light sources is one of the conditions for correct color rendering. Currently, most LED strips on the market show average performance in this respect.

Red is a key color for many applications. High CRI renders full color range in the interior. We notice that the surroundings are saturated, expressive and full of nuances.

In the healthcare, it is difficult to make a correct diagnosis when the light source does not emit the appropriate red light wave, which, for example, makes the patient's skin look unnatural due to low CRI values. The display of food products in shops or restaurants also requires LED lighting of the highest quality. Lighting design for art galleries or museums with the most valuable works of art is difficult to imagine with LED light sources with CRI below 90.

For artificial light to render color as best as possible, CRI must go hand in hand with the optimal color temperature of the LED lighting fixture, which oscillates around 4000K and is commonly referred to as "neutral white" light. The "warm white" light of 2000K- 2500K, which makes us feel very well, does not improve color rendering, but creates a pleasant atmosphere in the interior.
