For offices, multimedia shows and private projects: LED lighting control for everyone

Lighting control systems are an excellent tool not only for reducing energy costs, but also for creating the atmosphere of a place or event using various light scenes. They are also becoming more and more affordable.
Lighting control systems have been available for many years, but until recently they have been used mainly in commercial buildings, public facilities, less often in private homes. Currently, in the era of modern, miniaturized technological solutions, the financial outlay for the purchase of a control system is low, and the return on investment period is relatively short.

Choosing a control system

When choosing a control system, customers usually want:

If the project is, for example, an office building that is to meet the broadly understood contemporary standards, it is most often equipped with a system that will enable managing lighting in a centralized manner. In this case, a frequently chosen solution is the DALI (Digital Adressable Lighting Interface) technology, which enables the control of LED lighting fixtures and the creation of various lighting scenes, providing employees with a balanced light intensity during the working day and reducing costs.

When looking for a lighting management solution, e.g. during multimedia or theater shows, the best solution is the DMX (Digital Multiplex) bus, which provides control of a large number of lighting fixtures (512 addresses), smooth color change, and integration with background music.

The system is based on a wired installation, with wires running to the main controller and to each lighting fixture. This means considerable costs and workload. Wireless control systems are dedicated to architects and investors whose projects or facilities do not contain conventional installations, and whose modernization is economically unjustified.

Friendly LED control systems for everyone

Dimming LED strips

Semiconductor LEDs such as SMD in strips and modules, COB in downlight fixtures, or High Power LED in e.g. street lighting can be fully dimmable in the range of 0-100%, provided that they are connected to an appropriate power supply system. Modern power supplies have controllers responsible for the sophisticated management of advanced lighting scenes.
