Transformations that Shape Us. On Modernity in the Third Republic at the National Museum in Krakow

Modernity after 1989 is not only political and economic transformations – it is also new ways of thinking, designing, and creating. The exhibition "Transformations. Modernity in the Third Republic" at the National Museum in Krakow tells the story of how Poland learned freedom anew – in art, architecture, and design.

The exhibition "Transformations. Modernity in the Third Republic" is the final installment of the multi-year cycle "4 x Modernity," which since 2021 has been documenting and analyzing the changing faces of Polish modernity. After the modernism of the Second Republic and the People's Republic of Poland, as well as national styles from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, it's time for a story about the period closest to us – about what happened after 1989. It was precisely in this dynamic landscape of transformations, reinterpretations, and identity searches that brands and projects emerged that had the courage to think differently.

The exhibition at the National Museum presents works by Poland's most important creators of the last three decades. It features works from the fields of architecture, graphic design, industrial design, applied and contemporary art.

Our presence at this exhibition is a tremendous honor. We find ourselves among a prestigious group of creators whose projects have cultural, aesthetic, and social significance. The exhibition is accompanied by a beautifully published album that not only documents the exposition but also provides an excellent synthesis of Polish design after 1989.

We are proud to announce that our TPK-4 lighting system is among the projects presented at this exceptional exhibition. This solution perfectly reflects the contemporary approach to design: minimalist, functional, and integrated with space. The TPK-4 system was developed for installation in plasterboard, fully considering implementation practice – without collision with ceiling construction and with completely concealed aluminum elements. After installation, only a clean, cohesive surface remains, from which light smoothly emerges from concealment, becoming a natural element of architecture. It is precisely this quality and discreet innovation that defines modernity today – and we regard the presence of TPK-4 at the exhibition as confirmation that light can not only accompany space but co-create it.

Since the premiere of the TPK-4 lighting system, the KLUS line of profiles for plasterboard installation has dynamically expanded, creating an entire family of solutions responding to the most diverse needs of contemporary designers and contractors. We are particularly proud of our latest offerings, such as the KOZEL-10-BD profile – flangeless, dedicated to bending in both illumination planes, allowing for the creation of impressive curved lines of light that perfectly complement modern, non-standard arrangements. Thanks to its versatility, this profile works well in both residential and commercial spaces, where not only aesthetics but also functionality matters.

Another innovation is KOZMA-22 – a flangeless profile that achieves a minimalist effect of light flush with the ceiling or wall surface. Its construction also allows for sealing to IP65, making it a universal solution, suitable for spaces with increased humidity. Also worth noting is the KOZUS-BD profile, which thanks to its construction allows for even greater arrangement flexibility, as well as DIPOKET – designed for installation in deep recesses where light is meant to emphasize architectural details.

We also haven't forgotten about proven solutions such as KOZEL or KOZMA, which have been recognized for years for their ease of installation and versatility of applications. All our plasterboard profiles share one thing: they enable the realization of even the most demanding lighting concepts while guaranteeing durability, precision of execution, and aesthetics at the highest level. Thanks to this, light becomes an integral part of architecture, not just an addition – as confirmed by both prestigious projects and the presence of our products at the exhibition at the National Museum in Krakow.
